- 1 c. cane syrup
- 1 c. cooking oil
- 3 eggs, well beaten
- 1 1/2 tsp. soda
- 1/4 c. cold water
- 2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. ginger
- 1 tsp. cloves
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 c. hot water
- pinch of salt
Directions

1Preheat oven to 375°.

2Mix sugar, syrup and oil.

3Beat well. Dissolve soda in cold water.

4Add the rest of the ingredients except the hot water.

5Blend well.

6Add hot water.

7Mixture will be thin, it makes a big batch.

8Bake for 40 to 50 minutes.
