Ingredients

  • 1 c. white flour
  • 3/4 c. wheat flour
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1/4 c. brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. ginger
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. cloves
  • 1/4 tsp. allspice
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
  • 3/4 c. buttermilk
  • 1/3 c. oil
  • 1 egg
  • 1 egg white
  • 1/4 c. molasses

Directions

    Combine dry ingredients in large bowl; set aside.

    In large bowl, mix buttermilk, oil, egg, egg white and molasses.

    Add to the dry mixture and stir lightly; DO NOT OVERMIX!

    Drop into muffin tins. Bake 15 minutes at 400 degrees.
