- 1 c. dark molasses
- 2 Tbsp. vinegar
- 5 c. sifted all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 tsp. soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. ginger
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. cloves
Directions

1Cream butter; add sugar, gradually.

2Beat in the egg, molasses and vinegar.

3Blend in sifted dry ingredients, then chill.

4Roll 1/8 to 1/4 of an inch thick on a floured surface.
