- 1 1/2 c. Crisco
- 2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. molasses
- 4 c. flour
- 4 tsp. soda
- 1 tsp. ginger
- 1/2 tsp. cloves
- 2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. salt
Directions

1Heat oven to 375°.

2Melt and cool shortening; add sugar, eggs and molasses.

3Mix well.

4Sift together dry ingredients and add slowly.

5Chill dough.

6Form into small balls.

7Roll in sugar and bake on a greased cookie pan for 6 to 8 minutes.
