  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 1/2 c. Crisco
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. molasses
  • 4 c. flour
  • 4 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. ginger
  • 1/2 tsp. cloves
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. salt

    Heat oven to 375°.

    Melt and cool shortening; add sugar, eggs and molasses.

    Mix well.

    Sift together dry ingredients and add slowly.

    Chill dough.

    Roll in sugar and bake on a greased cookie pan for 6 to 8 minutes.
