  • 3/4 c. butter
  • 1 egg
  • 4 Tbsp. molasses
  • 2 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 2 tsp. ginger
  • 1 tsp. cloves

    Cream together the first 4 ingredients.

    Sift together the remaining 5 ingredients.

    Shape into small balls. Roll in granulated sugar; flatten out.

    Cook on greased cookie sheet, 2 inches apart, for 12 minutes at 375°.
