  • 1 c. shortening
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 c. molasses
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 4 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. ginger
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. soda

Directions

    Cream together the first 5 ingredients.

    Sift together the remaining dry ingredients twice.

    Mix dry ingredients well with creamed mixture.

    Shape into balls and dip in sugar.

    Bake for 10 to 12 minutes at 350°.
