- 2 lb. carrots
- 1 1/2 c. water
- 1/4 c. butter or margarine
- 1/4 c. brown sugar
- 1/4 c. brandy or Cognac
Directions

1Peel carrots; cut in 1/4-inch thick diagonal slices.

2Cook in 1 1/2 cups water for 20 minutes or until tender.

3Drain.

4Melt butter or margarine; add brown sugar, brandy or cognac.

5Stir well.

6Add to carrots in saucepan.

7Bring to a boil.

8Cook 2 to 3 minutes longer.
