- 1/2 bottle whiskey or brandy
- 4 cloves
- 8 whole cardamom seed
- 1/2 c. almonds, blanched and shredded
- 1 to 2 c. seedless raisins
- 1 can candied orange peel
- 2 pieces cinnamon bark
- 1/2 to 1 c. lump sugar

2The foundation of the glogg can be made several days ahead.

3Place the whole cloves, whole cardamom seed, coarsely shredded almonds, raisins, orange peel and cinnamon in a kettle with enough wine to cover (any kind); bring to a boil.
