  • 1 c. shortening
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 c. cold water
  • 1 c. hot water
  • 2 pkg. yeast, dissolved in 1/2 c. warm water
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 7 c. flour

Directions

    Cream sugar, salt, shortening and eggs.

    Add cold and hot water, 2 cups flour and yeast mixture.

    Beat well.

    Gradually add remaining flour; mix well.

    Cover and refrigerate.

    Use as needed. Shape and let rise for about 1 hour.

    Bake at 400° until brown. This mixture will keep up to 2 weeks stored in refrigerator.
