  • 12 cup shortening
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 egg yolks, beaten
  • 12 teaspoon vanilla
  • 14 cup flour
  • 1 12 teaspoons baking powder
  • 14 teaspoon salt
  • 24 graham crackers, crushed
  • 34 cup milk
  • 12 cup nuts
  • 3 egg whites, stiffly beaten

Directions

    Cream shortening and sugar.

    Add egg yolks and vanilla and beat well.

    Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with graham cracker crumbs and milk.

    Add the nuts.

    Fold in egg whites.

    Divide and bake in 2 -8 inch wax paper lined round layer cake pans.

    Bake at 350 deg.

    for 25 minute.

    Cool.

    Use your favorite chocolate frosting in between layers and on top.
