- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. butter
- 3 egg yolks
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 15 graham crackers (doubles), crushed (2 2/3 c.)
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 3 egg whites, stiffly beaten
Directions

1Cream sugar and butter,

2add beaten egg yolks, milk, salt, and beat well.

3Crumble crackers very fine and mix with baking powder and add to sugar/butter mixture.

4Add vanilla and fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.

5Pour into 2 round greased layer cake tins.

6Bake 20 minutes at 325°.
