  • 7 c. oatmeal (uncooked)
  • 1 c. wheat germ
  • 1 c. coconut (optional)
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar or honey
  • 1/2 c. oil
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1 Tbsp. vanilla
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. almonds, ground
  • 1/2 c. pecans, ground

    Mix ingredients thoroughly, and bake in shallow pans at 275° until coconut is lightly browned--approximately 1 hour. Add diced dates in quantity desired and store in refrigerator.
