Ingredients

  • 7 c. rolled oats
  • 5 c. wheat bran
  • 3 c. wheat germ
  • 2 1/2 c. unsalted roasted sunflower seeds
  • 2 c. sesame seed
  • 2 c. flaked coconut
  • 1 3/4 c. honey
  • 5/8 c. molasses
  • 1 3/4 c. canola oil

Directions

    Mix dry ingredients thoroughly, add oil and mix thoroughly again.

    Heat honey until it flows freely and add with molasses to ingredients and mix thoroughly.

    Bake at 275° in a large broiler or pans without cover for 1 1/2 hours, stirring every 15 to 20 minutes to toast evenly.

    Color should be light brown.

    Bake on shelf 3 inches above coils.

    Yields 26 cups, or 7 1/2 pounds.
