  • 1 c. butter or shortening
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 6 eggs
  • 1/2 glass grape jelly
  • 1 c. wine or 1 apple (optional)
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. nutmeg
  • 2 1/2 c. flour
  • 2 Tbsp. vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp. allspice
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 2 Tbsp. melted charlotte
  • 1/2 c. citron
  • 2 1/2 lb. raisins
  • 1/2 lb. Crysdale cherry
  • 1/2 lb. crystal pineapple
  • 1 Tbsp. orange peel
  • 2 Tbsp. orange paste

Directions

    Mix shortening and sugar well, add eggs, one at a time, then jelly,

    nutmeg, allspice, melted charlotte and orange paste, sift

    Roll fruits in 1/2 cup flour, add flour

    1 cup at a time, add fruit and flour and vanilla.
