Grape Pie

  • 2 c. grape juice
  • 1 1/4 c. sugar (1 c. for pie, 1/4 c. for meringue)
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 3 eggs, separated
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 3 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 2 Tbsp. plain flour
  • 1 baked pie shell (or miniature tart shells)

    Heat grape

    Mix 1 cup sugar, cornstarch, flour, salt and

    eggs. Slowly add

    stir. Add

    to juice slowly. Stir

    and cook until thickened.

    Cool slightly.

    Pour filling into pie

    shell.

    Beat egg whites and remaining sugar until stiff peaks

    form.

    Spread meringue over filling.

    Bake at 325°
