Grapefruit Smash

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup (59 ml) ruby red grapefruit, peeled and roughly chopped
  • Fresh Mint
  • 1/2 ounce (15 ml) simple syrup
  • 2 ounces (60 ML) cachaca (see Notes)

Directions

    In a sturdy glass or cocktail shaker, muddle the grapefruit and 4 or 5 leaves of mint with the simple syrup (see Notes).

    Add the cachaca and ice; shake well.

    Strain into a double rocks glass filled with ice and serve garnished with a sprig of fresh mint.
