Ingredients

  • 1 to 1 1/4 lb. ground chuck
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1 large can stewed tomatoes
  • 1 can kidney beans
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 3 to 6 tsp. Gebhardt chili powder (if possible)
  • 3 to 6 tsp. hot salsa or picante

Directions

    Add salt to meat; then fry meat.

    Pour off excess grease. Lightly coat meat with flour to absorb all grease.

    Add chili powder and mix.

    Add tomatoes, onion and kidney beans.

    Add water and salsa or picante to chili.

    Simmer for hours until done.

    Stir periodically.

    No grease on chili!
