- 1 pkg. Shawnee's Best cornbread mix
- 1/4 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 3 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 egg
- 3/4 c. milk
- 1 Tbsp. Crisco solid
Directions

1Preheat oven to 475°.

2In a 2-quart bowl, mix dry ingredients. Add egg and milk and stir until well moistened.

3Place Crisco in a 9-inch Pyrex pie plate and heat until melted.

4Raise sides to cover with Crisco.

5Pour mix into dish and bake for 12 minutes. Remove and cut into slices.

6Cornbread will be crispy.
