  • 1 1/2 cups uncooked white stone-ground grits
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 (4-oz.) can chopped green chiles
  • 1/2 cup firmly packed fresh cilantro leaves
  • 1/2 cup firmly packed fresh Thai basil leaves
  • 2 tablespoons thinly sliced fresh chives

Directions

    Cook grits according to package directions. Stir in butter and salt.

    Process chiles, cilantro, basil, and chives in food processor until finely chopped and smooth, about 45 seconds. Stir mixture into hot grits, and serve immediately.
