Grits Casserole

Ingredients

  • 4 c. boiling water
  • 1 c. grits
  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 2 or 3 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 3 or 4 drops of Tabasco sauce
  • 1 c. grated Cheddar cheese
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. paprika
  • 2 eggs
  • milk

Directions

    Stir grits into salted boiling water.

    Cook until thick; remove from heat and stir in butter, garlic, Tabasco sauce, grated cheese, salt and paprika. Add mixture of 2 eggs in a cup with milk to make one cup.

    Beat well before adding to grit mixture.

    Bake in greased casserole at 325° for 40 to 45 minutes.
