  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 2 c. boiling water
  • 1 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 c. white sugar
  • 1/2 c. raisins
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    In a saucepan, bring brown sugar, butter and boiling water to a boil again. Pour into a casserole dish.

    Mix together the flour, baking powder, sugar, raisins, milk and vanilla.

    Drop into the middle of the former mixture and bake at 350° for about 1 hour. Serve with whipped cream or ice cream.
