Hamburger-Cabbage Casserole

  • 1 medium onion
  • 3 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 lb. hamburger
  • 1 head cabbage, shredded or cut small
  • 1 (10 1/2 oz.) can tomato soup
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 c. Minute rice (uncooked)

    Saute onion in butter.

    Add meat, salt and pepper, heating through, but not browning.

    Spread 1/2 of cabbage in 2-quart casserole.

    Cover with meat mixture and rice.

    Top with remaining cabbage.

    Pour soup over top.

    Cover and bake at 350° for 1 hour.
