  • 1 pie shell
  • 1 lb. hamburger meat
  • 1/3 cup minced onion
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup whipping cream
  • 1-1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. white pepper

    Prepare pastry shell.

    Preheat oven to 425F.

    Brown hamburger meat in skillet, then drain off excess fat.

    Mix meat and onion.

    Reserve a small amount and place remaining meat mixture in pastry shell.

    Sprinkle cheese over meat.

    Beat eggs, cream and seasonings and pour over meat and cheese.

    Bake 15 minutes.

    Reduce oven temperature to 300F and bake 30 minutes longer.
