- 1 lb. hamburger (lean)
- 3/4 c. uncooked rice
- 2 Tbsp. oil
- 1/4 c. onion, diced
- 1/4 c. celery, diced
- 1 can tomatoes (2 lb.)
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
Directions

1Brown rice slowly in hot fat in heavy skillet, stirring frequently.

2Add onion, celery and hamburger; brown well.

3Pour off excess fat.

4Add tomatoes and other ingredients.

5Cover and simmer until rice is tender, about 45 minutes.

6Yield: 8 servings. Carbohydrate 17 g, protein 11 g, fat 8 g, calories 184.
