- 1 loaf frozen white bread dough, thawed
- 2 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 c. finely chopped onion
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 tsp. chili powder
- 1 tsp. soy sauce
Directions

1Let dough rise until doubled in size.

2Meanwhile, prepare hamburgers.

3Combine ground beef with remaining ingredients and shape into 16 balls.

4Fry in large skillet 10 minutes, turning once.

5Cool to warm on absorbent paper.

6Divide dough into 16 pieces.

7Flatten and shape around meat; seal seams together well. Place seam side down on greased cookie sheet.

8Cover.

9Let rise in warm place 30 minutes.

10Bake at 400° for 15 to 20 minutes.

11Serve warm to cold with catsup or chili sauce.
