  • 4 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1 3/4 c. shortening
  • 1 egg, beaten, or 1 egg white
  • 1/2 c. cold water
  • 1 Tbsp. vinegar

Directions

    Combine flour, baking powder, salt and sugar in a large bowl. Cut in shortening with pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse meal.

    Stir in egg, water and vinegar.

    Divide into equal parts of 5. Shape in balls.

    Wrap tight.

    May store in refrigerator for 5 weeks.
