  • 3 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. oil
  • 1 c. chopped nuts
  • 1 c. raisins (optional)

Directions

    Mix apples and sugar.

    Let stand for 1 hour.

    Sift flour, soda, salt and spices.

    Beat eggs; add vanilla, oil and apples.

    Combine flour mixture with egg mixture.

    Stir in nuts and raisins (if desired).

    Bake in greased and floured tube pan for 1 hour at 350°.
