  • 3 (12 oz.) pkg. frozen hash browns, thawed
  • 1/2 c. butter or margarine, melted
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 1/2 tsp. salt (more, if needed)
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 2 c. grated Cheddar cheese
  • 8 oz. sour cream
  • 1 can mushroom or chicken soup
