- 3 Tbsp. cocoa
- 2/3 c. flour
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 3 egg yolks
- 3 egg whites
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. vanilla
- 3 c. milk
- 9-inch cooked pie shell
- 1/3 c. sugar
Directions

1Mix flour, 3/4 cup sugar, cocoa, egg yolks and salt in top of double boiler with about 1/2 cup milk.

2Stir mix to reduce lumping.

3Put on top of boiler.

4Add rest of milk; whisk until thick.

5Add vanilla.

6Pour into cooked pie shell.

7Beat egg whites with 1/3 cup sugar until stiff to make meringue.

8Place on top of pie; bake at 450° until golden brown, about 8 to 10 minutes.
