  • 12 cup hazelnuts
  • 12 cup unsalted butter
  • 12 teaspoon vanilla extract

    Preheat oven to 350.

    Toast hazlenuts on baking sheet for 10 - 15 minutes or until they are fragrant.

    Make sure to shake pan several times during roasting.

    Dump them onto a kitchen towel and fold the towel over so they will steam.

    Let cool for 15 minutes and then rub with towel to release the skin.

    Process nuts in a food processor until they are finely chopped.

    Add butter in small pieces along with the vanilla and process until smooth.

    Refrigerate butter until needed.
