Hearty Corn Chowder

Ingredients

  • 1/4 lb. pork sausage meat
  • 2 Tbsp. onion, diced
  • 3 c. milk
  • 2 potatoes (uncooked and cubed)
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 1/4 c. cream-style corn

Directions

    Break up sausage meat and saute in kettle until crisp and crumbly.

    Remove meat and reserve.

    To fat, add onion; cook about 10 minutes.

    Add milk, potatoes and bay leaf.

    Cover; simmer 20 minutes or until potatoes are tender.

    Add salt, pepper and corn. Just before serving, add meat and heat through.

    Makes 6 servings.
