  • 1 peck tomatoes
  • 3 large onions
  • 4 c. sugar
  • 3 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. cloves
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1 pt. vinegar

Directions

    Boil tomatoes and onions until soft.

    Put in sacks.

    Drain the bags after 2 hours.

    After draining, run through sieve.

    Pour juice (from draining) away.

    Put it through the blender.

    Add sugar, salt, cloves, cinnamon, dry mustard and vinegar to the pulp.

    Boil 10 minutes.

    Put clear jell in to thicken.
