- 1 cup onion, chopped
- 1 (12 ounce) package long grain brown rice
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 3 cups chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
- 1 teaspoon dried chives
- 3/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Heat oil in a 3-quart, ovenproof, saucepan over medium heat. Add onion & saute, stirring frequently, for 5 minutes. Add the rice; cook, stirring for 2 minutes. Stir in remaining ingredients.

2Cover & transfer to the oven. Bake 40 minutes or until rice is tender.
