- 2 salted herrings
- 4 cups potatoes, boiled
- 4 eggs
- 2 teaspoons flour
- 1 23 cups milk
- 2 -3 tablespoons butter
- 13 teaspoon white pepper
Directions

1Clean the herrings, take away all bones and soak them in water overnight.

2Drain and slice the herrings in stripes.

3Slice the boiled potatoes.

4Grease an ovendish and layer it with potatoes and herring, starting and ending with potatoes.

5Sprinkle white pepper on the herring and dot with the butter now and then.

6Whisk eggs, flour and milk together and pour it over the herring/potatoes.

7Bake at 435F for about 50-60 minutes.
