- 2 c. sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 c. Crisco
- 2 1/2 c. flour
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. soda
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 3 Tbsp. water
- 8 plain Hershey bars
Directions

1Cream Crisco and sugar.

2Add eggs, one at a time.

3Add flour, salt, baking powder and soda with buttermilk.

4Add vanilla and candy bars which have been melted in a double boiler.

5Bake in stem pan at 350° for 1 hour.

6Let stand in pan until cool.

7(Two loaf pans may be used instead of stem pan.)
