Squash Casserole

  • 1/2 pt. sour cream
  • 1/2 stick oleo
  • 2 lb. squash
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 can sliced water chestnuts
  • 1 small jar pimento
  • 2 small onions, chopped
  • herb flavored bread crumbs

Directions

    Cook squash until tender in salt water.

    Saute onions in part of the oleo; do not brown.

    Drain squash.

    Mix other ingredients. Grease baking dish with butter.

    Sprinkle with bread crumbs.

    Add the mixture and the squash.

    Sprinkle bread crumbs on top.

    Bake at 350° for about 40 minutes.
