- 2 c. sugar
- 1 c. butter
- 1 c. milk
- 2 1/2 c. flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. nutmeg
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 7 egg whites, beaten
- 2 c. finely grated hickory nuts
Directions

1Sift flour with baking powder.

2Cream butter and sugar.

3Add milk and flour alternately to mixture.

4Add vanilla and fold in egg whites and nuts.

5Bake at 350° until done.

6Frost cake with white icing and decorate with halves or hickory nuts.
