  • 3 pounds onions, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 dash paprika

    Bring a medium saucepan of salted water to a boil.

    Stir in onions; cook until tender but still firm.
