- 1 peck shelled corn
- 1 (1 lb.) box baking powder
Directions

1Put corn and soda in a big, clean wash pot.

2Fill with water and build fire around pot.

3Boil and keep adding water as it cooks.

4Stir the corn real often to try to keep from sticking. Cook until tender.

5Dip corn from the pot and drain water off. Put in enamel pans and wash until water is clear.

6Get the black eyes out while washing.

7Pack in clean jars and cook in pressure canner for 20 minutes at 10 pounds pressure.

8Do not put in freezer.
