Honeycomb Chicken

Ingredients

  • 1 chicken, boiled and deboned
  • 2 c. chicken stock
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. noodles
  • 1 c. frozen green peas
  • 1 small jar pimento
  • 2 c. shredded cheese
  • 1 c. half and half or 1 c. canned milk

Directions

    Boil 1 whole chicken with onions and celery; cool and debone. Chop meat in chunks.

    Thicken 2 cups chicken stock with 2 tablespoons flour.

    Cook 1 (8 ounce) package noodles; drain and add to chicken and thickened stock.

    Add 1 cup frozen peas and 1 small jar pimento.

    Pour into baking dish; top with shredded cheese and pour 1 cup half and half milk or 1 cup canned milk over all.

    Bake in 350° oven for 45 minutes.

    Serve with hot rolls and a Jell-O or green salad.
