Hot Fruit Compote

Ingredients

  • 1 (15 oz.) can pineapple chunks, drained
  • 1 (16 oz.) can sliced peaches, drained
  • 1 (16 oz.) can spiced red apple rings, drained
  • 1 (16 oz.) can green pear halves, drained
  • 1 (16 oz.) can apricots, drained
  • 1/2 c. butter or margarine
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 c. any one juice or mixed juices
  • 12 maraschino cherries

Directions

    Place all fruits in 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish.

    Melt butter and in top of double boiler, put butter, sugar, flour (mixed in sugar) and juice.

    Blend well and cook about 15 minutes or until slightly thick.

    Pour over fruit.

    Cook at 350° for 25 minutes. Serves 10 to 12.
