Hot Fruit Compote

  • 1 large can peach halves
  • 1 large can pear halves
  • 1 large can apricot halves
  • 1 large can pineapple chunks
  • 1 jar maraschino cherries
  • 1/2 c. light brown sugar
  • butter
  • cinnamon or nutmeg

Directions

    Preheat oven to 350°.

    Grease a 9 x 13 Pyrex dish.

    Drain all fruit well and place in Pyrex dish.

    Sprinkle 1/2 cup light brown sugar on fruit and scatter small chunks of butter over fruit. Sprinkle cinnamon and/or nutmeg.

    Heat 25 minutes in 350° oven. Serves 12.

    (Great side dish for ham or turkey.)
