- 2 (14 1/2 ounce) cans French style green beans
- 5 tablespoons vinegar
- 5 tablespoons sugar
- 12 cup green olives (sliced)
- 1 small onion (chopped)
- 5 slices bacon (fried and save the drippings)
- 3 tablespoons bacon drippings, cooled
- 12 cup almonds (slivered or sliced, sliced water chestnuts can be substituted)
Directions

1I drain the beans leaving a small amount of liquid.

2Fry bacon and save the drippings.

3Crumble bacon and mix all ingredients.

4Marinate overnight in an ovenproof dish.

5Preheat oven to 300F and bake covered for 30 minutes.

6Uncover and continue baking another 15-20 minutes.
