- 1 lb. lean ground beef
- 1/2 c. onion, chopped
- 8 to 10 slices Velveeta cheese
- salt and pepper to taste
- Texas Hot Pete sauce and liquid smoke (optional)
- 1 c. mushrooms, chopped
- 1 to 2 cans biscuits or crescent rolls
Directions

1Brown hamburger; add onions and mushrooms and saute.

2Add salt, pepper, Hot Pete and liquid smoke to taste.

3Drain any fat from mixture in a colander.

4Allow to cool.

5Flatten out prepared biscuits or cut apart crescent rolls.

6Spoon some meat mixture onto the center of biscuit; place a slice of cheese on top; place second biscuit on top and carefully pinch edges together.

7Place on lightly greased cookie sheet and bake at 350° for 10 to 12 minutes or until biscuits are light golden brown.

8These can be frozen for snacks and lunches.
