- 1 large onion
- 1 can pureed tomatoes
- black pepper
- ground cayenne pepper
- sliced lemon
- salt
Directions

1Slice a large onion and boil until tender in chicken broth; strain and throw away onion.

2Return to heat.

3Add one (more if needed) can of pureed tomatoes.

4Stir.

5To add a little color and taste, season with some black pepper and ground cayenne.

6Simmer. Pour into cup over a slice of lemon.

7Strips of corn tortillas dropped in are good.
