- 2 to 3 medium cloves garlic, sliced
- a large handful of fresh parsley
- 2 to 3 green onions, diced
- 2 (15 1/2 oz.) cans chickpeas, rinsed and well drained
- 6 Tbsp. tahini (may purchase at health food store)
- 6 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice
- 3/4 to 1 tsp. salt (to taste)
- cayenne (optional)
- cumin to taste
Directions

1Place garlic, parsley and onions in a food processor or blender and mince.

2Add chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice and salt and puree to a thick paste.

3Season to tate, if desired, with cayenne and cumin.

4Transfer to a tightly lidded container and chill.
