Ingredients

  • 4 (8 oz.) cans Doxsee minced clams
  • 1 c. plain bread crumbs
  • 2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 4 Tbsp. fresh, diced onion
  • 1/2 tsp. salt (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp. oregano
  • 8 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 1/2 c. grated Romano cheese
  • 1/2 c. chopped, fresh parsley
  • saltines or Club crackers

Directions

    Saute bread crumbs, garlic powder, onion, salt and oregano in oil until golden brown.

    Mix bread crumb mixture with clams and juice.

    Add chopped parsley and grated cheese.

    Pour into a shallow casserole dish or several small, shallow pans.

    Bake in oven at 375° for 30 to 35 minutes until dark brown.

    Serve with crackers. If preparing ahead of time, clambake can be frozen before cooking.
