- 1 lb. margarine
- 1 (16 oz.) box light brown sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 6 c. flour
- 1 egg
- 1 c. nuts, chopped
Directions

1Mix all ingredients and divide into 6 rolls.

2Wrap tightly in waxed paper.

3Chill in refrigerator at least 12 hours.

4Slice thin and bake at 375° to 400° for 7 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned.

5Dough will keep in refrigerator 4 to 6 weeks.

6Makes 10 to 12 dozen cookies.
