  • 1 lb. margarine
  • 1 (16 oz.) box light brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 6 c. flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1 c. nuts, chopped

Directions

    Mix all ingredients and divide into 6 rolls.

    Wrap tightly in waxed paper.

    Chill in refrigerator at least 12 hours.

    Slice thin and bake at 375° to 400° for 7 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned.

    Dough will keep in refrigerator 4 to 6 weeks.

    Makes 10 to 12 dozen cookies.
