- 7 lb. cucumbers, sliced thin
- 5 lb. sugar
- 5 qt. vinegar
- spices
- ice water
- 3 c. lime
Directions

1Soak the cucumbers in 2 gallons of ice water with lime for 24 hours.

2Wash.

3Change water each hour for 4 hours, using only ice water.

4Bring to a boil the vinegar, sugar and spices.

5Pour over cucumbers while still hot.

6Let stand overnight.

7Next morning, cook cucumbers for 30 minutes with heat on simmer until vinegar is thick.
