   Cream butter and sugar together.

   Add vanilla.

   Beat eggs and add to mixture.

   Sift flour, soda and baking powder together 2 or 3 times (or mix well together) and add to the creamed mixture in 2 to 3 additions.

   If this mixture is too soft to form a roll with the hand, put on dough board, add flour and knead until you can form a roll.

   Chill.

   Cut in slices.

   Place on baking sheet and bake at 350° for about 8 to 10 minutes.
